Moving

When I hear the ELC is going to another place on July 16, I am so interested in that place because I hope it will meet new environmentally friendly standards. Everything will be so beautiful for students to use in class.

I can also use very good facilities in the class, have good common rooms for students having lunch together. Moreover, I expect that the lifts will operate better. I mean that they will be quicker than the old ones.

I am going to finish my GEAP 3 course on June 29. After that I will sit IELTS test if the IELTS result is available for me I will enter the Univeristy of Adelaide staightly this year. However, if imposible. I will be back PEP because PEP will be started on August 20.

Water Festival

Dear friends,

In Cambodia there are many different special events such as Khmer New Year, Cambodian Phcum Ben Day and Water Festival, most of them are public hoidays. Water Festival is public holiday for fun.

Water Festival starts celebration in November during 13 to 15 first quarter. It is boat race on the Lonle Basac and Mekong River that is located in front of the Royal Palace in Phnom Penh city.

This event takes for three days because there are hundreds of baots racing during this event. Many Cambodian people come from countrysides and city to watch boat racing in front of the Royal Palace. It is speciall days for people relaxation from their work.

At night, they go to see sightseeing for boat decoration by floating on the river, and they also see firework. Another go to watch concert for free or go to see exhibition.

Finally, in the end of this event the winner receives prize from the King of Cambodia. Although it is for fun activity, it provides opportunity for people take it easy because it is the public holiday in Cambodia.

I really enjoy and relax with this event because It is fantastic!

Study English

Dear friends,

I have studied English in GEAP3 for two weaks. I gained some knowledge from Helen such as orap presentation, speed reading, writing journal and academic vocabulary.

I think that oral presentation is very important for me because it help me to make feel confindence of speaking in front of a group of students. Also, I had some comments from other students in my class and my teacher Helen when I had problems with pronunciation, grammar error or too slow speaking during my presentation. I will fix my problems next oral presentation by practising pronunciation many time at home and using grammar books.

For reading I am not good because I read slowly and my answer is not a higher mark. through this task, I need to work more on reading articles.

From now on, I need to work on reading and speaking because I want to meet good speed reading and perfect speaking. This is my purpose in the future.

In addition, the most important for me is writing and listening academic. This is really neccessary for me to enter the University.

Weather

When I arrived in Adelaide at the first time the weather was too hot because of the first month of the year; however, it is now coming cold and cold because of the winter season. This morning the wind blew very strong, and the temperature was also low.

However, the temperature has dropped into low degree lately, I still love this season very much.

Celebration

My family and I were invited to join the celebration of the new house at the Parafield Gardens on January 27-28, 2007. During that time we have met may Cambodian people to come down there as well. Suddenly, we were excited because they welcomed us warmly.

Moeover, they asked us where did we live in that time?. Once again happy when they wanted to our address because they wanted to keep in touch each other.

Finally, after finishing from the celebration, we were absolutely delighted because it was fantastic for us and also it brought us to meet many important people who helped us a lots of things.

485 Salbury Highway

New accommodation

Hey day,

After arriving in Adelaide for over three weeks, I felt fidgety about finding a house because of the family. I thought that it was easy for me to get rental accommodation. But, it was very difficult. I have tried two times to apply for rental accommodation. Unfortunately, I was not successfully in that time.

However, it was the third time I have tried again to apply for it. Then, yesterday afternoon, I was excited to get good news from property agent because I was successfully in rental accommodation at 485 Salibury Highway in the Parafield Gardens.

I am absolutely delighted for it.

Arrive

Hello

I, Soneath, arrived on Saturday last week with my family in Adelaide. First, we went to the Windsor apartment for three days stay. At the moment, my wife and I went to do shopping at Central market and bought some food. In addition, we traveled to visit Cambodian people who live at 5 Shorney Street parafield Gerdens 5707.

Today, my wife and I moved to Gurney Lodge North Adelaide this morning. I am planning to stay down there for seven days. I have a daughter named TiTi and she is eleven months old.
